Mansfield District Council is celebrating World Environmental Health Day tomorrow (Thursday 26 September) by holding a public information stall on Mansfield Market.

The international event is organised by the International Federation of Environmental Health and this year’s theme is Emerging Environmental Health Risks and Challenges for Tomorrow. Members of the District Council’s Environmental Health team will be at Mansfield Market between 10am and 3pm to speak to shoppers about the work of the team and hand out information packs.

The Environmental Health team deals with monitoring and controlling different activities like food hygiene, health and safety and environmental protection issues including noise, land and air pollution.
